Hi, I'm Lana :)

I am a New York City-based mix engineer, producer, and musician whose love for sound runs deep! Raised in a home surrounded by music, I was immersed in this crazy industry from birth. My mother, a classical cellist, and Broadway pit musician, constantly had WQXR Classical radio on and would encourage us to guess the composer before a piece ended -- and my father, a virtuosic jazz saxophonist and woodwind musician, became my first teacher and consistent motivator. He would always ask me to sing a middle C when I walked in the door after school, and compelled my brother and I to practice, practice, practice! That early foundation sparked a lifelong passion for creating, exploring, and connecting through sound. Starting with piano lessons, then moving to 15 years of classical flute training, somewhere in between picking up guitar and finding my passion for rock and alternative music, I eventually landed on a love for producing, engineering, and mixing. After extended overnights and many hours in the studio at school, I knew it was the path I had to follow. Anything that makes noise and manipulates sound makes me happy!

I eventually worked my way up to a staff engineer position out at Hybrid Studios in California, and currently run the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Recording Studio Lab in NYC.

With these strong roots, my goal is to not only extend my expertise to all those I work with, but to showcase the deep emotional investment I have in this art. I have a relentless drive to grow, learn, and connect through all of my projects, meet people in a space that isn't just surface level, and create art to be proud of. My approach is to craft a space where artists feel encouraged, understood, and free to express themselves fully, whether that be in the studio or on a stage. For all aspects of a project, I am there to bring my full self, my positive attitude, and of course, all those years of mom and dad saying "play that scale again!!".
